FLOEWATER OFFERS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SOLUTION AS IT COMES WITHOUT PACKAGING SO NO WASTE IS GENERATED.

  • Data from Plastics Europe show that most PET bottles end up in waters, forests and lands.

  • Only 2% of them are recycled in a closed system. A research by Metabolic found that 87% of PET bottles are not recycled at all.

  • According to an estimate by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, roughly 5–13 tons out of the total plastic waste that ends up in natural waters, oceans in a year are consumed by fish, birds and other organisms.

  • International multinational companies produce 1.5 billion PET bottles a year in Hungary – with this amount we could fill up the Velence lake twice.

  • It takes 400–600 years for PET bottles to degrade in a natural way.

  • Research at the Goethe University revealed that an estrogen-like substance dissolves from the plastic PET bottle into the water contained in it.

THE OTHER SIDE OF DRINKING MINERAL WATER

WATER IS MUCH MORE THAN A THIRST-QUENCHING DRINK.

  • According to the Plastic Soup Foundation, people buy one million plastic bottles every minute globally, that is, 500 billion PETs and the same amount of waste we have to fight over a year.

  • Moreover, we pay for PET bottled water multiple times: beyond its content, for the packaging and waste disposal.

  • Currently, there are 5 waste islands floating in the oceans, mostly comprising of PET bottles. The largest one is seventeen times bigger than the territory of Hungary.

  • Furthermore, PET not only pollutes our environment but also our own body due to the dissolving microplastics.
